Are you outgoing and hard working? Are you willing to interact with our farm guests? Please complete following form if you’d like to volunteer or work for Grampa’s Farm. We will follow up with you within a couple days.

Details of Worker/Volunteer Activities:
Be personable All positions require interacting with our guests
Set-up (Beginning September 1st, work hours you are available to mow lawns, paint fences, move items, cut fabric, etc.)
Corn Maze (Distribute any guidance at maze entrance. Remind guests of behavior expectations in the maze.)
Tractor driver for hayrides (must be 21, have valid drivers license and have experience)
Wagon Monitor (Assist guests in getting on and off hay wagon to pumpkin patch. Talk with guests. Provide safety rules and enforce them. Open and close wagon ramp.)
Porta-potty Patrol (Check for toilet paper. Clean up any messes. Push waste down and add water if needed. Check levels of soap, toweling and hand sanitizer; refill when needed.)
Wood Stamp (Ask children to choose a piece of wood. You guide them in placing initials, allow them to pound their initials in with rubber mallet. Share this significance of marking timber with identification in Wisconsin’s lumbering days.)
Bomb a Buck (Help kids load small pumpkins into sling shot to shoot out window.)
Laundry (Help children wash towels using washboard and direct them to hang towels on the line.)
Petting Zoo (keep all animal areas clean of visiable poop. Water animals periodically. Invite guests to pet ducks (with instructions), assist with entry into goat pen, answer questions guests may have. Supervise the gates for the bunny pen(s) and enforce that bunnies be pet on the ground for their safety and well-being (not picked-up).
Corn Sheller (Ask children to choose a corn cob and help them run it through the sheller.)
Corn Cob Dolls (Help children wrap fabric and tie a piece of yarn around a corn cob to make their own doll. Share the significance of corn cob dolls in “the olden days” (info provided.)
Schoolhouse/Dress-up (Supervise areas to be sure children are using materials appropriately. Tidy up dress-up area. Interact with guests explaining how schools have changed.)
Garbage (Collect and tie up garbage bags. Carry them to the dumpster.)
Admission (Welcome guests, explain that harvest is included, take payments, provide overview of the locations of activities.)
Staff Lounge (Be sure there are drinks and food kept warm/cold. Fold brochures. Cut apples that will be used in Red Shed.)
Tear Down (Put equipment into storage, clean and put away items, etc. This begins on October 21st.)
